Locate the blueprint First Person Character, open it and delete all the nodes marked with red, after that recompile the blueprint and everything will work just fine. Important: In version 5.3 of the engine, if you try to play the example level, there will be an error in the blueprint First Person Character. If you don't want the effects to loop, all you have to do is to change in every emitter: Emitter State -> Loop Behavior -> Once (at the moment is set to Infinite) Important/Additional Notes: The muzzle flashes are set to loop infinitely and by adjusting the User Parameter "Delay", you can change the loop period. In the top left corner of the screen, you can see the current muzzle flash name. Mac: Not tested but it should work just fineĭocumentation: In the demo map, use the keys "2" and "1" to change the particles of the gun at runtime, so using these 2 keys you can watch and test all the effects. The modified version allows automatic fire (press and hold left mouse button) Number of Blueprints: For example purposes, in the demo map of this pack, it is used a modified version of the First Person example blueprint. Number of Materials: 4 Materials and 100 Material Instances Number of Unique Effects: 100 muzzle flash effects 1,026 muzzle flash stock photos, 3D objects, vectors, and illustrations are available royalty-free. With proper customization, the muzzle flashes can be used also for big guns like tank guns or any high caliber projectile weapons.Easy to scale every emitter separately (flame, explosion, smoke, heat distortion, sparks, lateral plasma bursts).Thank you!įeatures: (Please include a full, comprehensive list of the features of the product) This will keep me motivated to create better and better assets. If you like this pack, feel free to write a review and rate it. The muzzles can also be customized simply by copy pasting the emitters from one system to another (for example, if you like the smoke of a particular muzzle flash, you can copy the smoke emitter and paste it to another muzzle flash and you can do that with any emitters) The particles are created with Niagara and anyone will be able to easily customize every muzzle flash by changing more than 10 user exposed parameters like: color, color intensity, heat distortion, scale (not just the entire scale but the scale of every component of the muzzle flash) etc.
In the above videos, you can see all 100 Muzzle Flashes. Some of the muzzle flashes can also be used with Sci-Fi weapons, as long as the weapons have a realistic design and mechanics (projectile based). I PROBABLY have to make a new mod folder just for this, i know how to pack and unpack pbos, but i dont know how to write configs, and if such thing is necessary, how to tell the game to use it instead of the vanilla arma files.īeen with arma games since 2001 and i never bothered with modding till now, hope you guys have some advice it would be greatly appreciated. This Unreal Engine pack contains 100 muzzle flash effects, which can be used for weapons like: pistol, rifle, machine gun, submachine gun, shotgun, rocket launcher, sniper etc. I need to see those p3d files to know what they are and what to change about them. This is all very confusing to say the least. I tried opening them in Oxygen 2 but error pops up crashing the program. I would like to view the p3d files but i can't open them anywhere, i tried Blender, plugins for blender, photoshop cs6 with plugin that supposedly opens it but it really doesnt, some other 3rd party softwares. All i changed were tha PAA files which i replaced with mine and renamed them with original files. So this is what i'm thinking, either I cant mod it because BIS made it so it doesn't work if you edit their files, OR i was supposed to do something extra with those rvmat / p3d files that were there. Thanks to you i found the folder, converted dds to paa after a lot of trouble and conversions to pngs, changed a couple of muzzle flashes, made data_f.pbo a pbo again, overwritten the original pbo (i made backup) and it doesn't work, in fact, game refuses to load any visual effect, including explosions and smoke AND the flashes.
Hey man thanks a lot for answer, it took me a looong of time to research all this as i've never done it before.
